Breaking Bad - Essay

This essay was timed 45 minutes   "Explain how the meaning is created using the four technical areas, in the following clip." In this scene from Breaking bad, both age and gender are represented. For age, older generations of men are depicted as knowledgeable and very pulled together, while the younger teenage men are conveyed as incompetent and on the wrong side of the law. Gender is represented by portraying men with dominant personalities as well as being territorial. Using men rather than women stereotypes women as being the damsels in distress without any intention to break the law or harm humanity.  From the first cut of this clip from ‘breaking bad’ sound is already revealing to the audience a lot of key information about the setting. For example, an intercom is used in the background to indicate the setting is a a large shop.
